We have travelled a couple of times to Miami in the past year and oh boy, it has been amazing every time. I love the weather, the sun, the beach, driving, everything.

7 days of nothing
It's been 7 days you guys. But 7 of the most refreshing ones ever! I have been on a small break, doing nothing but nothing! I needed a break from everything, all the stress all the noise all the time that I had worried. So reading was one of the most refreshing ideas I had in mind, and also listening to a lot of classical music while at it. I am a big nerd.
I am still trying to recover, and I thought it would be nice to check up here and tell you all how I was spending my summer break! Also lots of sun and fun on the club. (I am not a fan of beaches, the sand is just too much...)

I hope you are having a great start of the year :)

uh oh! Flag Shorts and High-waist Pants
Summer is approaching, at least for my side of the world, and with it comes a whole new wardrobe and new trends to try.
I bought recently a pair of High-waist shorts with the American Flag on them (tell me about patriotic without being and american) and I just love them! they are so comfortable and super nice. I am already planning some places to wear them. They are super versatile and great. They would be great to pair them with a cropped top to give them the airy feel of summer.
But, as I don't see that much heat coming my way in the nearer future, I also bought a pair of black, high-waist jeans. Looooove them too. I am surprised on how the trends come around and back again.
here some celebrities that rocked the high-waist shorts through summer:
Miley Cyrus Lauren Conrad

My mom, when she saw the high-waist, freaked out and told me that she used to wear that all the time and was so comfortable and looked so cute.
Then, I saw one of the rerun episodes of Friends that were from the first 2 seasons I think, and I saw Monica wearing jeans like that and a cropped red sweater. It was so cool to see that.
I love when retro things come back in style, it feels more real to me.
ps. Sorry there was no Workout Playlist this Monday. I will make it up to you with a special post this coming Monday! I did a special post for a book tour instead that day, go check it out if you'd like!

Picnic Breeze
Hey Everyone!
You all know how crazy I am about having my nails nicely painted and well manicured. Pretty much I love to pamper myself with pretty nail polish and by having pretty hands I can conquer the world and feel pretty hot.
A while back I purchased a trio of Revlon mini polishes in Sparkle, Garden and Waterfall. They are pretty summery colours.

Personally, I love Revlon nail polishes, they have a very long lasting wear and they don't chip that easily.
I liked to wear this colours for the pool or the beach with a black bikini I have and they just give a pop of colour to your ensemble. Another thing is, that with your tan in the summer months, they make it more noticeable, specially Waterfall. Being as pastel as it is, it makes everything more stand out.
Sparkle, on the other hand, being a glitter nail polish, is harder to take off with nail polish remover. For that reason I wear it on my ring finger to make my manicure stand out with more neutral colours. Specially in winter when I want to shine a little more (lack of sunshine, overload of glitter!)
this is the small things that make my day. Which are the ones that makes yours?

Yummy Birthday Cake and Pretty Flowers
Hey Everyone!
Yesterday was a great day and I loved every single bit of it. I felt the love yesterday, and sincerely, every day I am feeling it, but it was nice to hear that to reassure me. The sun came out and was a hot hot and clear day.
Here are 3 Pictures from yesterday:
My piece of cake (properly arranged for the picture haha)
The flower arrangement my parents got me (love the teddy bear made out of flowers!)

Sunday Funday: Father's Day
Hey Everyone!
I hope you are having a nice day. It is sunny and nice and hot here. Just the perfect day. The perfect one to say to your dad how much you love them and how much they mean to you. It doesn't matter if your dad is not with you at the moment, or your mum has taken care of you being a mum and a dad at the same time, you just need to show that person how grateful you are for what they have done for you.
I want to say Happy Father's Day to the most amazing men in my life, my Dad and my Granddad. They have always been there for me, seen me at my best and at my worst and have always been there to cheer me up and make me have a good laugh. There is another special man that passed away many many years ago, my Dad's Dad, the most caring person of all. He is now one of the many guardian angels looking after us from up high in heaven. Love you all.
We are doing a special lunch, an Italian theme one with nice wine, nice food and the best of all, the family together.
What are your father's day plans?
Have a pretty one!

Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp: Week 7
Hey everyone!
Another BVBC is here, but we could only see half of the challenge. Buying and styling on a budget is difficult enough to do it under time pressure. Right I sometimes take 2 hours to pick up the perfect clothes for the perfect outfit.
I loved this week's challenge, and as the competition comes to an end, the challenges are being more stressful and a lot more relevant.
Here is this weeks episode if you missed it!
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have a great weekend!

Welcome May!
Hey everyone!
It's May already, I feel the year is flying by so fast! And of course, you gotta be the best at everything you are going to do. I have been stressing over the university and have witnessed that every day as it gets closer to the last semesters of it, it becomes harder and harder.
Trying to balance every little detail in life is not impossible but it sure is a whole lot of work. I love the challenges but some days I just feel drained and with no energy to get out of bed, but girls gotta do what girls have to do and just keep on going to reach your goals.
I have a pretty nice memory to share with you all since it's May and it's the 4 year anniversary of my prom trip to Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic.
At this time of year, we were all prepping to get our tans on and enjoy the live in the sea. The skies where clear and the seas were super turquoise and crystal clear. Every single bit of the beach was bright and beautiful.

a view from the plane so you can see what I saw :)
I feel like every little detail can be seen down there. The hotel was everything you could've asked for. We stayed at the Tropical Princess and it is part of the Bavaro Princess chain of Hotels.

here a picture of one of the pools

I was so happy there, I found someone special and saw how pretty life is, and how good you feel while living life at it's fullest.
Talking about this made me want to go back, maybe after graduating university I will travel with some friends over there. Or who knows, maybe I'll go to some other place, like Montercarlo.
I hope you have a nice day and Month.

Motivational Words: Think of the Sun
Hey guys!
I feel like everyone has, at some point, felt like their troubles were bigger than what they could handle. For those moments of despair, when you feel that you can't breath and that the universe just don't like you at all, remember that there is always going to be something to brighten up your day.
Don't feel down, think of all the pretty small things that life has given you, think of the people who love you, look at the flowers in the parks, look at the kids playing with their mom's and how happy they are. Sometimes are those small things that will make you go through the rough times of life.
Every sun ray for me is a little drop of happiness. Look at sky, it doesn't matter if it is cloudy or bright, just remember the sun always comes out. Maybe not every day, but it is always there. Think that even though the clouds are overshadowing his gloriousness, he always sits high up there with no worries and hoping the friend Wind would come to blow his troubles away and together make a breezy and sunny day.
Take a moment to reflect about why you should worry, and expect something better of each day.
Live your life not worrying about the troubles but trying to make those problems into opportunities to become better and happier.
I hope you are having a great day from the bottom of my heart

Sunflowers and Roses
I might say that sunflowers and pink roses are my favourite flowers, they give spaces a beautiful vibe and just make me smile every time I look at them, even by the corner of my eye. I was looking at some of my albums and found pictures of them, I was happy at the thought that I have pictures of them and just simply looking at them I remember their smell and how pretty they truly are.
Here are those pictures:

Happy Sunday!
Hey Everyone!
It's a nice family Sunday, it's sunny, it's warm, it pretty much everything you'd like from a day with the ones you love.
(I wish I had a pool like this one!)
We normally spend the day going to lunch, sleeping in, enjoying the blue sky in our backyard, and specially the dogs playing around and we playing with them. Later at night we watch movies and relax some more.
It is very nice to spend it that way leaving all the worries of the week and the stress of work and some other issues behind for a week.
I hope you have a nice nice day and show the ones you love how much they mean to you!! <3

Friday: Update
Hey Guys! it's been too long I think!
I have been really enjoying my vacations and reading a good amount of books, and I really missed writing blog posts.
On Tuesday was my granddad's birthday and we decided it was going to be a holiday for every member of our family so that we can spend a nice day together. He had been working on an invention of his to make roasted chicken and you know what? it is AMAZING. So we had a pretty nice feast. We sided the dish with a salad and with baked potatoes with Huancaina Sauce. We are somewhat lovers of wine and a glass is never missing.
I took a lot of pictures so that you can watch it. What i like the most of this is that you don't need the use of oils or anything else and it is super healthy. You have to season the chicken first and then just let it sit for one night and it will make all the meat be impregnated with the taste.
This is what it looks like when you first see it in the grill.
what a happy Family We are :)
So if you want to spend a nice evening with your family, declare yourselves a little family holiday and do a BBQ and it will make a lot of health benefits for you all. So spend a day out in the back yard and soak in some fresh air and a yummy tasting food right out of the grill. Specially if it's a summer day, which in most of the other hemisphere of the world is, it is going to make you fell much more active and full of life and even happier.
tell me if you enjoy having family time and if so, how to spend it?

13 personal Questions Tag.
Hey guys!
Today I felt like doing something different and that really goes out of topic, but i thought that it would be much fun to get you to know me a little better.
So I was creeping around youtube and found this tag, which basically consists of 13 questions to answer and in that way other people can see what are your interests apart from what you normally talk in your blog or posts.
And now, this is the 13 personal question tag.
1) What do you order at Starbucks?
Normally I order a tall vanilla latte or a caramel frappuccino if i feel it is not too cold outside in the winter but i keep it seasonal, hot coffee for winter and iced coffee for summer.
2) What's one thing in your closet you can't live without?
The number one thing that i can't live without from my closet is my (could it be anything? oh well here it goes) Roxy hoody that is the prettiest ivory white with an abstract butterfly on the back. Even though there's more in my closet that i can't live without that is the most outstanding piece of clothing i could think off.
3) What's one thing that most people don't know about you?
I think that maybe that they take me for granted because i am always smiling and trying to keep positive about things that they think that i am not well focused on my priorities, but i love what i do and that i study and put all my self into the edge when i have to get one thing done. What i want, i get it. I am a very focused person.
4) What's one thing you want to do before you die?
This is a hard one, but maybe i would want to drive one of those giant trucks to transport containers of merchandise but on an extreme condition
such as ice or in a dessert.
5) What's one food you can't live without?
I would have to say, down straight, that pastas are the one food that i couldn't live without, but i think they have way too much carbs and everything that this dis encourages me, but what ever, for the sake of this tag i would go with pastas all the way. You can check the post where i talk about some pasta and birthday dinner ideas here.
“One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure its worth watching.”
I like this quote specially because you really have to make what you do what you love and if you don't you will feel an empty space. That is why you need to enjoy every second of your life and make it worth it.
7) What do you like and dislike about the blog communities?
I have been around that much in the blog communities but of one thing i am sure, i have to start learning how to get an award! (just kidding (;) but i think it is more closed and personal because people can connect to each other and share their interests.
8) What's your n° 1 song on your iPod/iTunes?
"love you like a love song" by Selena Gomez. which is awesome by the way! check it in the link below on amazon.com.
9) What kind of style would you describe yourself as having?
I think I have a really classy style, I like the Paris style and the royals outfits. I am not that kind of girl that is going to wear working out outfits to go to the mall or shopping at the grocery store. I love Sky-high heels and pretty dresses and skirts, but go along very well with jeans and a pair of uggs in a cold winter afternoon. I take a lot of the style from Gossip Girl, specially from Blair.
Well guys, this is the end of the tag! if you like you can do this tag in your blog and link it on the comments below so that i can go check your blog and follow it!

10, my birthday, the number of this question and it mainly describes everything important to me.
11) Two Hobbies?
Playing the piano and Playing Volleyball (when i have the time to do these)
12) Two pet peeves?
When people chew way too loud and when they start making noises with their pens like "click, click, click" and they never stop the fricking noise
and last but not least!
13) Your guilty pleasure?
Actually i think that my biggest guilty pleasure is to watch movies in bed while eating a whole bag of doritos and drinking Fanta, that is my guiltiest pleasure on earth.

Clothes 101: Working out outfits Part 1
Hey Everyone!
It's Tuesday and what a better way to start your day than having a nice jog or having your own at-home pilates session? To check out my post from yesterday here to see the routine you can do.
But, do you have trouble finding a comfy pair of sweats or to find the perfect outfit to start your exercises?
So, if you are going to sweat, why not do it with style?
I think that every person has their choices, or their go-to favourite pair of sweats and hoodies. My picks for clothes, when i go to workout or even stay at home and do some exercises, are a pair of yoga pants, or shorts, a racer back top and my sneakers.
It all depends on how comfortable you are with the clothes you are wearing. Yoga pants are light and allow a lot of stretching and movement and are your best option if you have a Pilates class, yoga lesson or just hitting the gym. Shorts are perfect for summer to keep yourself cool and to prevent excessive sweating, that, for some people, might be disgusting.
Some people use tank tops or just plain t-shirts. Some might prefer sports bras alone, but if you are not too confident with your body or just not that into showing so much skin you can wear them with a loose tank on top. Sports bras also provide a lot more support, and ladies you know this, when jogging or doing crunches and more.
Another nice idea is to wear a headband to keep your hair out of your face while working out because it can make you loose concentration and it just bothers a lot. Also take a towel to absorb the sweat. They now make everything for people who likes to workout and they make stuff that matches everyone's interests and necessities.
I found this really pretty towel in a site called lululemon.com and it just caught my eye. It is a purple towel and i am in love. It says in the tag "don't be afraid to sweat" and i think they've got a point and they are right! It is not a small sized towel it is a body length exercise towel which i find really interesting because i've never seen something like that before.
http://shop.lululemon.com/products/clothes-accessories/women-we-made-too-much/Manduka-Hot-Towel-240302?cc=8400&skuId=3408428&catId=women-we-made-too-much |
Victoria's Secret has in their Pink Collection the most girly sweats, t-shirts and yoga pants i've seen before and they are nice and not too expensive. These are Perfect to feel right when you are working off to have a great body and you feel motivated about it with these kinds of outfits.

these are one of my favourite sweats!
They are the vintage flair pants and they seem so comfortable in order to have stretching and things like that going on.
Keep an eye on Part 2 to come and comment what else would you like to see here.
love,
S.A

Friday Fun
Happy Friday!
So today the sun came out, the birds are singing and everything seems happy and with a magical aura.
As the sun came out, i am in the mood to eat a fruit salad and drink a lot of water. If there's something that i could live of during a sunny day is from fruits and fresh veggies. I love they way they freshen up the body and the water contained within them is so good for us. Also, a good complement for them, and the amount of vitamins they provide, is the Sun, some good sun baths are perfect to fix those vitamins, but also use sunscreen to prevent damaging your skin. I recommend SPF 45 and higher to have a good care for it.
I am in a really good mood and therefore i think i might go out and walk my doggies for a while and enjoy this beautiful day !
Have a Wonderful day!
XO
