Try

I did my best, I tried and tried.

Trying is always the best thing one can do before feeling defeated and all emotional. Ok, you can cry, but if you don't try it wont be helpful. Sometimes hard work pays off, but it wont happen over the night and if you don't believe in yourself, well, a dream will only be a dream.

Do you remember how I was struggling at the beginning of the year with that job issue? well I did and I couldn't be happier. I was persistent on what I wanted, of where I knew I would fit in best, and where I was more comfortable at and finally, I ended up in the right place.

So keep on trying, the first attempt may not have the outcome you wanted, maybe the second or third will.

Short hair don't care.

A few weeks ago I went to my hair dresser and had a major cut. I mean I cut my hair (my hair dresser did) and I couldn't be happier!

I feel fresh and light now, I need to trim it again soon, it's been almost a month and I want it short for some time.

After having it long all my life (at least 6 good years or more) it was time for me to change it up. It was not a big deal, but I needed a subtle but comfortable turn of events. I got rid of my layers and that was it.

here a picture :) (please ignore the duck face that is not as noticeable as it was intended but still embarrassing)

See, a little under shoulder length.

That was my mayor change.

Freezing Cold

It's been the coldest winter here in a while, last year, right around this time I remember was not that cold. I have been struggling to find clothes warm enough that aren't hoodies and sweat pants, and that are relatively appropriate for work. Yes, I've failed miserably. Besides, in the office we are right now is always freezing! and our A/C is not working at all.

We have come to a point where bringing blankets to work is the most suitable way to keep and stay warm in this harsh winter. But this is not that bad while we stay in that office (clothing norms aren't that strict). The down side is that we are moving, and the place we are moving is not going to be so flexible with our dress code. Trust me, we were secluded from all other human beings, and pretty much we were not interested in being all fancy pants while sitting at our desks working on reports AND FREEZING (we need to stay warm right?).

If in fact, we do move, we are going to have to step up our wardrobe. It worries me terribly. HOW AM I NOT GONNA DIE FROM HYPOTHERMIA?! (is that possible not on sea? well it definitely feels that way there) I hope, with all my heart and soul, that the A/C there works on point. (please please please WORK!)

Initially, this was going to be a post about boots. Yes, not quite there yet. And will not be there. It turned into a little ramble mumble but I had to get it out of my system. I will start wearing more layers of clothes this days we have left at the current place, and then, will try and find a seat under our A/C (if we have a working one elsewhere)

It feels like there might even be a snowstorm at some point (even though we do not have snow here) it is just excruciating.

I hope you guys in the northern hemisphere are enjoying your summer, and hope my fellow southern hemisphere friends are not freezing, but staying warm and cozy!

love you all!

22

It feels like a perfect time and yes, it is my Birthday today! I am turning 22 years old. It feel surreal, i can't believe how fast time has flown by. In about a month or so I will begin my senior year of University, I am already working, my family is always great and supportive and I feel like I owe them everything that I am now.

It is hard to try and foresee my future, but I will just let life take me along, and who would've thought that right at this moment it is going through so many changes. Those changes, that are sometime scary and overwhelming, make people grow. And that is what is going on. Growing to be a better person from everything that is going to happen that has already happened, those past experiences and should not weigh us down, instead they should make us stronger and willing to try new things and deal with everything. And if one fails, never stop, at one moment you will succeed and everything will be worth it.

Now that I am 22, I look back at how much has happened and how much more mature I am, without loosing my true self. Yes I may know more about life, but I am still a helpless romantic, a little kid at heart too (I love cartoons, I love Disney, I love the Flintstones and I love ice-cream among other things).

22 is going to be great, as much as 21 has been awesome.

Lets go life, I'll follow you where ever you take me.

<3

Thank you for all your support and for following me on my rambles and my randomness.

What's in my Purse?

I have never done a post like this, and it is one of my favorite things to watch over YouTube and some blogs. I love to see what other women carry around their purses and, to be honest, I like taking some ideas from there, people carry essentials that maybe some of us have never thought about, but are pretty obvious.

The purse I am carrying now, I found at a department store and it is pretty! I love the color. It is a beautiful strawberry red, with the side studding. A zip pocket as a flap, two short straps to carry it on the hook of your arm or even on the shoulder and also a longer strap for a long shoulder bag.

Cronut Craze

I've been sitting in my very productive Saturday (seriously, a whole lot of cleaning and washing) relaxing for a little and scrolling down some of my favorite blogs. While at it, I noticed that some of them are just from people living in New York. Their post had flooded my blogloving account and last week or even longer, they all raved about one thing.

Cronuts.

cronut2

A pastry invented by a New York Baker called Dominique Ansel. They only sell them there in the bakery that goes under his own name. Please, can someone ship one of them to me here?! I am not that fond for doughnuts but one that is a hybrid with croissant dough, YES PLEASE!

I would love to taste one, or even make one if I find a recipe, of course they would not be the original but at least something's gotta give.

They say people wait in line for hours before they even open the bakery, to purchase a couple of these pastries (2 is the per person limit, WHAT?) I would definitely need more if they are as half as good as they state they are.

I am just day dreaming about them. If I try a recipe, I might blog about it and  tell you my experience.

For now I leave, but not without a croissant craving (cause I don't like doughnuts), but hope that those who live in NY, are enjoying this pastry for me <3
