Crepes & Waffles

Hey guys!

Today I am going to grab dinner with my cousins and we are going to crepes and waffles. It is one of our favorite restaurants and they have a lot of different healthy choices. It is a great local restaurant for Latin America and it has franchises over different of the countries.

My favorite dish is the chicken and mushroom crepe which is super tasty and nice! it has a milky type of sauce and it just doesn't have that much calories.

here is a picture taken from Trip Advisor of this dish, it just look AH-MAZING :)

Tell me, what are your plans for this Saturday night?

Have a nice day!

Question: What are you having for lunch today?

Hey Guys!

I just wanted to know what are you having for lunch today or what did you had for lunch if it's already dinner time where you live.

I am having stuffing cucumbers filled in with a sort of meatball, it is so good and so nutritive and it doesn't have a lot of calories and is so filling!

Here is a picture of this dish:

Hope you guys are having a beautiful day !

Hair up? or hair down?

I am one of the people that like her hair down better, but i also like it put together in a braid or in a pony tail.
There are a lot of styles of up do's that you can rock, in summer specially so that your hair is not making you sweat, which happens a lot because you feel you have a scarf or something like that covering your neck and maybe your back (if you have really long hair like I do).

There are knots, buns, high braids, French twisted braided knots and many more.

For a more sophisticated look the buns are super cute to draw the attention to the dress you are wearing. Like this ones:

prom updos for short hair. updos for long hair

Or maybe more casual looks, messier and sexier like the following ones:

Or maybe you like to braid your hair and feel more comfortable wearing them:

So tell me, how do you like your hair to be better? in an updo or your hair down?

Healthy Snacks: Avocado Humus

Hey Guys!

So I was browsing through the internet in the search of new and healthy snack options and got across this recipe, and as I am a huge lover of avocados and of Humus I thought "OK, why not?" and decided that you might also like this new and innovative way to eat your humus.

Here is the recipe thanks to the food network

Picture of Avocado Hummus Recipe

Ingredients:

2 avocados
1/2 jalapeño pepper
7 ounce tub of humus
juice of 1 lemon
salt

Directions:

Make an avocado and jalapeño purée in a food processor, then stir with the humus and mix well. Add salt and the lemon juice and mix well once again.

If you can't find made humus near you, click here to get the recipe to make it yourself. (An easy and practical recipe I must say!)

A great veggie that you can eat this with is with celery sticks, they are crunchy and yummy. But you can also eat it with toasted pita bread.

So I hope you enjoy!

Random: POP corn and Soda

Today I will be going to the movies, it is a tradition we have with my parents, we love the movies so much that once every two weeks we will go and watch one of them. What I like the most to ask in the shop is for popcorn and a soda, It is so not healthy, but so yummy, the soda of my preference is Fanta or any other with an orange flavour.

I like the popcorn they cook, they are not so like the ones you make at home, they have other taste, it's just different.

I was bored and I decided to talk to you about this little tradition we have. We normally ask for a medium popcorn for the 3 of us and get individual small or medium sodas :) it is just a small treat we get ourselves.

what kind of traditions you have with the ones you love?

Fall trends: Leader appliqués

This fall season is all about mixing and matching textures. My favourite one has to be mixing leather with any other fabric. It has been around for a couple of years now but it has gained more and more importance to complete different outfits.

It gives a rocker chic feel to the whole look. It adds edge and makes the attire more daring without taking the elegance out of. It makes it Chic but not cheap at all. Of course you need to know how much of each you are going to add to an outfit. Small pieces or signature ones like gloves, a jacket or maybe a stylish skirt makes it complete and put together.

Are you loving the leather trend?

Sky Blue Nails

I was very hesitant to buy this color of nails but after watching it on my nails I was captivated by it. It is a colour   that I would've never thought of buying it but the girl in the Revlon counter just convinced me and I never had owned any of this type of colors. The name is Waterfall

Do you like this colors?

Flexitarianism: Yay or Nay?

Hey Guys!

I was browsing through the internet and came across this term. Flexitarianism. I was so curious that I decided to some research and found out that it is a way of living. A healthier one.

They are like vegetarians but they get their proteins from lean meats and dairy products but get their basic diet plan is based on fruits, vegetables and grains. They say that a flexitarian way of eating is what nutritionists all around the world have been recommending all around the world for some time now and that more and more people are making it happen. Nutritionists recommend this way of eating because it's good to eat a low saturated fats diet high in fibre.

People who follow this trend are more likely to follow the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables than most people and obtain more benefits from them. This means that their health is going to be a boost of good fats and the metabolism working better and therefore people are going to be thinner and have less risks of strokes.

I think it is a yay, because of the benefits.

What do you think, are you willing to try Flexitarianism, Yay or Nay?

Fruity Breakfast

Hey Guys!

Remember the Healthy Spotlight post about mangoes yesterday? Well today I decided to mix it up and make myself a fruit salad for breakfast with a good cup of coffee.

I mixed mango, watermelon and a banana. It was so good and fresh that I felt the vitamins (can you feel them at all? well i guess so) going in my system haha.

I think eating a good healthy breakfast is the key to make your day go by full of energy and gives you the amount of vitamins that your body need. I like to always eat a fruit with my breakfast, or if not a fruit always some freshly prepared juice with the fruits I like the most.

Shoes, shoes and more shoes! Part 2: Fun Colours

Some women are just sceptical about wearing fun colours on their feet and some are just more daring and go for the craziest ones. Every single one of you, at least once, had thought that you should pump up your shoe closet with those bright colours, but just backed up because you didn't thought that it would go well with the clothes you have.

Any plain outfit can be really well complemented by a fun shoe and will make it stand up and look a lot dressed up or dressed down. And now that you have your basic shoe guide, I think that having a fun shoe guide can help you grab the courage you need to spice up your outfits.

At some point you will want to have a Red Shoe, red shoes are great to combine when you have an all black outfit or really nude outfit. The pop of colour that it brings to it just makes you look more daring and will turn the looks, maybe at first some people just wont notice, but with the attitude that you'll be given by the simple fact that you ARE wearing them, people will start noticing. Remember, the shoes are the stars of that outfit and you have to give them their place.

I found these gorgeous pair of red pumps

which are from Lanvin and are red patent and suede high heels  and the silhouette they have will make your feet look a lot refined and slimmer giving you that extra boost of confidence.

Another fun colour to rock for Fall is an emerald green. It is such a nice colour that will turn heads and just make you feel the Queen of the place you are at.

For example this one here, which is a high heeled, hidden platform pumps that will make your legs elongated and your figure more lean

A colour that I have always been eyeing is bubblegum, Barbie like shoes just because they are fun, girly and flirty all the way.

Christian Laboutin has the best pair I have seen, peep toed and beautiful.

Yellow shoes, yes YELLOW. They are the colour of the sun and it will brighten the day way better cause you have a small portion of the sun with you.

And it's never too much to go eye some rainbow fun and young shoes because at the end of every rainbow there is a jackpot waiting for you to get it if you follow it.

Once again...Laboutins

Sky high heels are the best friends of girls around the world, make sure you love what you wear, and the most important thing... adopt your shoes personality and you'll have the right attitude to get them right at once.

Hope you guys liked this post!

Healthy Spotlight: Mangos

I have been recently obsessing over mangos, to be honest I think I've loved them since I was little so I just wanted to share some health benefits this fruit gives to you.

  • It is rich in pre-biotic dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and poly-phenolic flavonoid antioxidant compounds.
  • According to new research study, mango fruit has been found to protect against colon, breast, leukemia and prostate cancers. Several trial studies suggest that polyphenolic anti-oxidant compounds in mango are known to offer protection against breast and colon cancers.
  • Mango fruit is an excellent source of Vitamin-A. Vitamin A is also required for maintaining healthy skin.
So it has a lot of benefits for your health and it is a yummy smelling and tasting fruit, very tropical and summery.

I hope you liked this post.

Are you a mango lover?

5 foods that get to your hips

Hey guys!

It's another day and another of my lists come up! who isn't worried about the food they eat and how are they going to affect their body? I think that this is my biggest scare as it is for the most of the girls out there. Can we eat chocolate? A cupcake? A McDonald's Burger with extra cheese and bacon? Where do they go in our body??

All these questions are just getting us more and more worried, right? I know, I AM worried!

So now, we are going to get in details and more details.

5) Fondue: As much as you may love your fondue (all that cheese and more cheese on top of MORE cheese) it's time to go cutting it out. Cheese is a killer one, specially the one used for fondue. It contains a lot of calories and fat and grease that will just serve as food for your hips and they might get fatter and larger. I think it is also best to eat it in moderation every once in a long (and by long i mean like 6 months apart) time so that it is not damaging your health.

4) French Fries: They are the best companions of the next food that is not healthy for you at all. Because they are fries, they need to be deeped in hot boiling (guess what?) yes OIL. It has toxins and saturated fats that are just not good for you.

3) Cheeseburger: Yes this is the companion of your fries i was talking about. Fried Burger plus cheddar cheese plus mayo and all those sauces and the French Fries are just a killer combo. All the fat is going directly to your hips ladies! we are like hamsters in that way, we accumulate, just not in our cheeks but in our hips (bummer).

2) Pasta: Yes, and I feel disappointed by this. You know I love me some pasta every now and then. But white wheat pasta is the worst. Lasagne  as an example has more or less 3000 calories because of the ingredients.

1) Burritos: Good lord, Mexicans are great for inventing all types of yummy food! but unfortunately this just makes your health go under the scope of calories and fat and to get greased arteries.

I hope you guys have enjoyed this post and that you are aware of what to avoid for the moment to have a healthier diet <3

Top 5 scents for Fall

Another season is here, summer is fading and you want to smell yummy as you did that time of year! For a party, for a dinner, for just all day!

We all want to smell good and have that perfume that we can go to for the day that is just the one that will lift our spirits off the ground. I wanted to share some of the scents I've been obsessing over since back in the day.

So I found this scents that you may love or may hate but according to your taste you will find one of these to be your absolute favourite.

Lets get started

Number 5:

Elizabeth Arden's Red Door, it's a scent that contains tones of lilies, orchids and roses accented with undertones of fruits and sweet musk. This last specimen just makes me feel the fall and it is a timeless fragrance. In over all, this perfume is signature of many women that are classy and timeless with their choices. I really like the scent specially for a dinner or a moment you will always remember.

Red Door by Elizabeth Arden

Number 4:

For a night out with the love of your life why not try Dior's Hypnotic Poison and you will just fall in love with the scent the times you wear it. The description says it's "Milky bitter almond and caraway are flanked by jasmine on one end, sensual musk and snugly vanilla on the other, resulting in a baby-powder scent for adults" like a total aphrodisiac i must say.

Hypnotic Poison by Dior

Number 3:

Burberry's Burberry London is maybe the fall-est scent from the previous 2 perfumes. It is classic and just portrays the misty days that London has and makes people crave to spend one of those days across the pond.
It has tangerine, rose and honeysuckle notes and its under notes are Jasmine, Tahitian Flower, Peony,  Sandalwood, Musk and Patchouli. It's a day scent so you are free to rock it everywhere, everyday if you may.

Burberry London by Burberry

The next two scents are for evening wear, I wasn't sure which one was number one but for the sake of having continuity (even though the are both n° 1s for me) lets get this countdown to an elegant end.

Number 2:
Lancome's Tresor Perfume is one of the Nicest and classics scents for fall that no women can be wring wearing it. it has top notes of peach, apricot, pineapple and bergamot and under notes of Rose, Orris, Heliotrope, Jasmine, Sandal, Musk and Vanilla.

Tresor by Lancome

Number 1:

Nina Ricci's L'air du Temps is my all times favourite, and yes, maybe I was a little biased on this one, plus it's my mom's favourite, but it has top notes of Bergamot, Rosewood, Carnation and under tones of Rose, Jasmine, Violet, Orris, Cedarwood, Sandal, Musk and Amber and as it says in the description of the perfume it is a delicate, sensual and feminine, an enchanting fragrance.

L'Air du Temps by Nina Ricci

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and that it is helpful for you to chose which one is your favourite and if you have others you love for fall let me know, i'd love to know which ones are your favourites.

Update, life and an explanation

Hey guys!

Sorry i've been so M.I.A this past month. Life for me has been an ongoing track of school work and technically i've been buried in loads of things to get done. I'm in the middle of my career right now so the classes are getting harder by the day and it leads to more responsibility. Trying to fit everything, from school to social life and putting up posts in the 24/7 is just seems not enough to get them straight.

I am going to try to do my best with it and hope to get posts done more often (as often as my schedule allow me) and just keep it up talking to you guys about what we love because, honestly, I've missed you so much!

Down here in the southern hemisphere is getting warmer by the day and just the fashion and make-up trends are  changing and transforming so i am excited to talk to you about it :) also I'll be posting fall trends that you guys in the northern hemisphere may want to catch and rock out!

Love you,
