Obsessing Over: Cross-body bags

I have been recently in love with every type of cross body bags, the long strap is just amazing and it give a level of comfort when shopping (duh! shopaholic talking). I had a quite few when I was young, because they where comfortable enough for me to play around and not have anything falling off of  my shoulder and misplacing them (that happened a lot).

Don't think I have ditch big bags at all. Of course I haven't. I Still love them as much as I love my cross body. They are still super convenient when you have to carry around all of your life to get to classes and work. Which, by the way, I will be doing some post about that soon (sooner than what you expect).

In the mean time, I will show you which are the cross body bags that are on my wish list.

and well, that is actually the only bag that I have on my wishlist right now, it has been the only one that has caught my eye!

Which style of bags are you loving right now?

Denim over denim?

I have very mixed feeling on this trend that you can see already all over the streets. I love how some people wear it and make it look trendy, but if you try too much it will end up eating you and dropping any of the style sense you had left.

I haven't tried it yet, just because I think it doesn't look that great on my (or it happens the second option in the previous paragraph) and I just fail miserably and end up changing my outfit the last minute I'm about to get out of the door. I think I'm not brave enough yet.

A couple days (or well off a week or 2 ago) I saw a post over at LaurenConrad.com about denim over denim and felt like it gave a lot of good tips! You can check the post here and see what I mean.

What do you think of this trend? Would you rock it or would you just discard it totally?

Spring. How I've missed you!

Today is actually a day in which Spring is showing it's true colors. I like that very much (except when I go out bundled up in winter clothes and then the sun decides to come out!) and I have been waiting for the hotter days and brighter ones to start appearing so that I can change up my nail polish colors to ones more cheerful and bright. So yes..I did this and painted my nails a kind of coral-y pink nail polish from....can you guess??...*drum roll* Revlon, that is right.

It is called "Kiss me Coral" and it is very pretty. It has very tiny micro glitter and is sort of a pink reflection. It has a holographic effect. I like it very much. Sorry for the picture, but it is the easiest way to take a quick snapshot (from the webcam!) I think I did captured the essence of the whole nail polish, you can see the coral and a little of the pink reflection.

I have found that it is a little too sheer for my taste, that is why I tend to apply 3 coats of it so that the color turns out truer to what it looks like in the bottle.

Sorry for the horrible cuticles and messed up fingers, I haven't been taking that much care of my nails this past days because, well you know, because of this! and now I am back at it. Besides, I tend to bite the sides of my nails when I get really nervous or anxious or stressed.

That is how it looks like with  3 coats of nail polish on. I think it looks pretty and is very spring-y like.

I hope you are having a nice day!

Fashion Weeks kick-off parties!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

As the week has ended, and everybody has been a little crazy running around (the majority has just began a new semester a few days ago) and being loaded with work you normally don't get when you are just starting, I decided to make a post to make the stressful days be left behind for a while and talk Fashion Weeks. I know, a little late because they all began on Thursday with FNO's (Fashion's Night Out) from LA all the way through Italy.

This events are promoted in Europe and in the United States, they are the biggest ways to celebrate Fashion as a passion and as an art. It is the most profitable industry in the history, giving people jobs and a lifestyle. I love this add the most stylish people out there (Joan Rivers) and the most talented in LA made to promote this party of Fashion.

Some beauty gurus also participated, Elle and Blair Fowler and Dulce Candy.

I thought this is a great way to make people more conscious that Fashion is all over the world and more events should be promoted when the fashion weeks come along.

Here in Latin America we have great designers. Just look at Carolina Herrera and how massive her Fashion Empire has grown. We need to celebrate them too to make a statement and be a little piece of the puzzle too of this great movement.

Going back to topic, this month is going to be great and I will be keeping an eye to the latest trends that will, definitely, come around.

hope you have a great weekend!

Modern Girl

Hey Everyone!

OPI Fan? well yes, I am, but here it is one expensive brand so my collection is very poor for what I liked it to be. One of my favourite colours is Mod-ern Girl. It is a nice coral with pink undertones and is very flashy. It is great for summer. I am in love with bright fun colours, maybe because they give that fun pop of young and happy vibes.  Here is a picture of the nail polish so you can get an idea of how it looks.

Find me on FacebookTwitterPinterest and Bloglovin'! <3

The picture is not making it justice but it is more inclined to the accurate part. You can still see the lovely coral that it is.

Corals and tangerines are great for this season. Have you tried them on now?

Polish Review: Revlon's Mad About Mango

Hey everyone!

I am back with a new Polish Review. Surprise Surprise! It's another Revlon nail polish! This time I thought to show you one of my favourite nail polish colours for spring time, that i wear through the spring and summer months.  It was from the limited edition collection of scented polishes, the first one they had out, and it is called Mad about Mango. First off, i think the idea of having scented nail polishes was cleaver but actually I don't like very much the scent of artificial mangoes...it just doesn't make justice to the real fruit. Scent apart, The colour is so pretty, it's a corall-y sort of red-ish colour going to the side of bright neon orange. Here is a picture of what it looks like:

It is a fun colour to rock and it just makes you feel more confident about yourself and your appearance. It's not necessary for me to say this, because you all know how I feel about this brand, It is very lasting and it chips not so easily and has great pigmentation, the only side note here is that to get a very rich colour you need to do 3 coats to really appreciate it.

I hope you have a great day!

Fall trends: Leader appliqués

This fall season is all about mixing and matching textures. My favourite one has to be mixing leather with any other fabric. It has been around for a couple of years now but it has gained more and more importance to complete different outfits.

It gives a rocker chic feel to the whole look. It adds edge and makes the attire more daring without taking the elegance out of. It makes it Chic but not cheap at all. Of course you need to know how much of each you are going to add to an outfit. Small pieces or signature ones like gloves, a jacket or maybe a stylish skirt makes it complete and put together.

Are you loving the leather trend?

Update, life and an explanation

Hey guys!

Sorry i've been so M.I.A this past month. Life for me has been an ongoing track of school work and technically i've been buried in loads of things to get done. I'm in the middle of my career right now so the classes are getting harder by the day and it leads to more responsibility. Trying to fit everything, from school to social life and putting up posts in the 24/7 is just seems not enough to get them straight.

I am going to try to do my best with it and hope to get posts done more often (as often as my schedule allow me) and just keep it up talking to you guys about what we love because, honestly, I've missed you so much!

Down here in the southern hemisphere is getting warmer by the day and just the fashion and make-up trends are  changing and transforming so i am excited to talk to you about it :) also I'll be posting fall trends that you guys in the northern hemisphere may want to catch and rock out!

Love you,

My favourite Lipstick brand

I love the way lipsticks make the lips, of us girls, look gorgeous. My favourite line is from Natura, an ecoefficient line from Brasil which is made from natural substances and nothing else. It has no chemicals added to any of the lines they have. They abstain from producing nail polishes, which are necessary to have any chemicals added by force. They say that these nail polishes damage the environment and can produce green house gasses increasing global warming.

Natura's lipsticks are really moisturising and you can feel that they are maid super smoothly. They are very pigmented and have a great variety of colours, coming from the darkest plum to the brightest pink they can find. They are great for every season for the reasons mentioned previously and will make your lips smooth and awesome and will complement every makeup look that you want to achieve.

Where there is a smoky look, or a simple Parisian feel with bold bright red lips they have the perfect shades for every occasion.

The packaging is super nice and they make them from recycled materials.

What is also nice, is that you can purchase the refills for all of their products so that you don't en up spending that much money on them because of the packaging.

This is a line you can find and purchase in Latin America, Mexico and France. So if you are in that areas. I hope you are willing to try them and tell me what you think, not only about lipsticks, but their entire line.

Review: Estée Lauder Projectionist Mascara

Projectionist

Hey guys! I am practically obsessed with this mascara, the Projectionist Mascara from Estee Lauder and since i bought it a year ago more or less, it's been my favourite. It makes the lashes look full and long and just make your eyes to look bigger and brighter. It enhances them.

This mascara has a huge wand and the fibres in it are shaped as to fit and catch even the smallest baby lash. It is great for going out at night to give you that dramatic look that you need to really finish your make up.

The price of it is of $21.00 and for what it can do i totally recommend purchasing it if you think it is going to suit you. If you don't want to spend that much, i think that you can try other drugstore mascaras that can work in the exact same way. Personally i am a little sensitive in my eye area and i have to use mascaras that are not going to produce me any type of allergy to prevent my sight to be red and soar.

Estee Lauder, is a really good quality brand of make up and works smoothly, at least with mascaras and the formula does not clump and don't leave chunks of product in the lashes.

hope you liked this mini review! :)

Shoes, shoes and more shoes! Part 1: Basics

I have a lot to love about life, specially if you have to walk your way with it. Shoes are essential for this task and it doesn't matter if they are flats, or skyhigh heels, the shoes are girls best companions.

Heels will make you look slimmer and give you the curves that you like and will complement your outfit and make it to die for. Heels elongate the figure and give the height that you die to have. Flats make you feel comfortable for everyday and to run errands and wonder around town with friends and family. As you may feel fond to just a certain pair in your closet, call it your "life-partner", you can't get enough of your old, lovable other pairs.

For me, an essential to have in your closet is a pair of black pumps. They are always going to fit in perfectly with any outfit you put together for a night out or just hit the city with style. I love the Steve Madden brand and they have a huge variety of pumps that you can choose from here is one of them.

Another essential you ought to have, is a pair of nude princess cut shoes, they are stylish and classic and are never out of season. The Queen of England and they royals love have these because they give the classy feel to an outfit.

For flats you should find those that are going to make you feel comfortable and just add that sense of being at home without wearing a pair of sleeping slippers. I found this beautiful pair of Tory Burch flats in brown and just felt that they called "urban home" for you to wear them:

I hope you enjoy this post! and keep an eye on the other parts of this series called Shoes, shoes and more shoes!
