Painting...

...my nails. I haven't done that in a week! i can't believe it from me.

I've had a hectic week. Like for real, crazy hectic week. University, work and life have been beasts on me. But I have a little time to breath and to pain my nails. Which i am so happy about! I don't like my nails to be naked. It makes me a lot more self conscious. I have the habit of not letting my nails rest, but I figured, as I have zero time to spare lately, that I prefer to have naked nails instead of chipped nails

But I finally painted them and I feel much better that way. It boosts my self esteem. I feel prettier, and (for a weird reason) healthier and happier.

I hope you are having an awesome Sunday.

Beauty Pet Peeve: Chipped nail polish

On Wednesday, I was talking to one of my girl friends about life and we were laughing and all. Then it happened...I saw her hands and on her hands, her nails, and on the nails....Chipped nail polish. I started to freak out. One of the most distracting and pretty darn ugly things for me is to see a girl with her nail polish all torn down and plain not well taken care of.

I am a firm believer that girls should always have her nails well manicured and if possible with some nail polish on, even if it's a clear one. When I start to see mine a little off, and have no time to keep them polished and neat, I immediately take the nail polish off at least.

That's when I decided to make a post about it. I am pretty sure my friend is going to read this. So S don't take it personally! you know I love you!   It is just something I am a little crazy with and don't stand it. It is one of my beauty pet peeves.

Here are some tips:

1.- If you see that your nail polish is already starting to wear off, don't continue chipping it yourself by scratching it. It is a horrible habit, makes your nails look careless and to top it off, it scratches off the top coat of your natural nails making them to be porous. That is going to make the nail polish stain even more your pretty nails and when you go nail-polish-less they will look even less healthy.

2.- Just remove your nail polish and if you don't have time to paint them back, just leave them natural. In that way, they will have time to breath a little and rest from all the chemicals nail polish have. That way they will look a little more taken care of.

3.- Finally, give yourself an at home manicure, dedicate atleast once a week, at night, to treat your hands and nails so that they are healthy and nice and then you will feel fresh and pretty.

A well cared manicured hand makes a girl look pretty and polished. Always keep that in mind. You will feel even prettier than you already are and more confident to while you give a steady and confident handshake to your potential next employer too.

Parlez-Vous OPI?

Hey Everyone!

This colour of nail polish is super pretty for winter, it is not super dark. It is a muted colour more like a greyish lilac. It is called Parlez-Vous OPI and it came out with their French Collection a couple of years back. It is classy and feminine. Here is a picture of this pretty colour.

Modern Girl

Hey Everyone!

OPI Fan? well yes, I am, but here it is one expensive brand so my collection is very poor for what I liked it to be. One of my favourite colours is Mod-ern Girl. It is a nice coral with pink undertones and is very flashy. It is great for summer. I am in love with bright fun colours, maybe because they give that fun pop of young and happy vibes.  Here is a picture of the nail polish so you can get an idea of how it looks.

The picture is not making it justice but it is more inclined to the accurate part. You can still see the lovely coral that it is.

Corals and tangerines are great for this season. Have you tried them on now?

Sexy in Pink

Hey Everyone!

Continuing with my crazy love for nail polish, I have a new shade from Maybelline. It's called Sexy. Hot hot pink! Love it. Every shade of pink nail polish is well accepted by my collection. You can never have too many pink in anything.

Find me on FacebookTwitterPinterest and Bloglovin'! <3

The branch of nail polishes, that are more young and fun is called Colorama. They carry a lot of bright colours, like this one, a neon orange, neon yellow, electric blues and more.

I love this hot pink, As the colour name says, it's sexy from every angle you see it.

Picnic Breeze

Hey Everyone!

You all know how crazy I am about having my nails nicely painted and well manicured. Pretty much I love to pamper myself with pretty nail polish and by having pretty hands I can conquer the world and feel pretty hot.

A while back I purchased a trio of Revlon mini polishes in Sparkle, Garden and Waterfall. They are pretty summery colours.

From left to right:
Garden, Sparkle and Waterfall
Personally, I love Revlon nail polishes, they have a very long lasting wear and they don't chip that easily.

I liked to wear this colours for the pool or the beach with a black bikini I have and they just give a pop of colour to your ensemble. Another thing is, that with your tan in the summer months, they make it more noticeable, specially Waterfall. Being as pastel as it is, it makes everything more stand out.

Sparkle, on the other hand, being a glitter nail polish, is harder to take off with nail polish remover. For that reason I wear it on my ring finger to make my manicure stand out with more neutral colours. Specially in winter when I want to shine a little more (lack of sunshine, overload of glitter!)

this is the small things that make my day. Which are the ones that makes yours?

NOTD: Revlon's Really Rosy

Hey Everyone!

As you can tell, I'm a huge Revlon Nail Polish Junky. Today, is Friday, my favourite day of the week because the weekend starts. I thought today I wanted to wear a colour that was still summery but more earthy toned to go with the fall that is coming.

I personally love this colour, it's girl-y but gives an edge to the whole concept, it's a dirty rose tone.

it's a really pretty colour but i feel the picture just distorts the tones. But it pretty much looks like it.

Have a nice day and enjoy the start of the weekend!

Polish Review: Revlon's Mad About Mango

Hey everyone!

I am back with a new Polish Review. Surprise Surprise! It's another Revlon nail polish! This time I thought to show you one of my favourite nail polish colours for spring time, that i wear through the spring and summer months.  It was from the limited edition collection of scented polishes, the first one they had out, and it is called Mad about Mango. First off, i think the idea of having scented nail polishes was cleaver but actually I don't like very much the scent of artificial mangoes...it just doesn't make justice to the real fruit. Scent apart, The colour is so pretty, it's a corall-y sort of red-ish colour going to the side of bright neon orange. Here is a picture of what it looks like:

It is a fun colour to rock and it just makes you feel more confident about yourself and your appearance. It's not necessary for me to say this, because you all know how I feel about this brand, It is very lasting and it chips not so easily and has great pigmentation, the only side note here is that to get a very rich colour you need to do 3 coats to really appreciate it.

I hope you have a great day!
