It's a new year! Actually, we are already one month in and at the beginning of the love month.
This is the first post of the year, a little late to come but, while trying to put life back in order after the holidays and all, it has been a little cray cray around here.
Without further ado, and this little introduction, I leave you with this little experience of my own.

Beauty | Givenchy Skin Care
A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to participate in a beauty breakfast organized by Ripley (a huge department store in Latin-America) and it was the best experience ever.

Micellar Water: Lóreal Paris
A few weeks ago, my skin was getting super dry and I was breaking out like crazy and then, Micellar water came into my mind. I have heard a lot from people all over the internet and from some people around me that use micellar, and have told me the wonders that it is and what it did for them, so I decided to give it a try.

The Best Gift
As you might have already read in my Black Friday haul (actually a whole weekend haul) I bought myself a 13" Macbook Air and it is the best purchase I have made in a while.
It is a pretty expensive gift to buy if you buy it here in Peru, but I went for it anyways because, to be honest, I don't like waiting (who does?) and after a pretty much 7 year in the want I just had to have it.
Everything began with one of my friends at work wanting to sell her 2011 Macbook Air at a pretty good price. I was determined. I wanted to buy it from her. But still needed advice and just talk it out with someone who knows me even more than I know myself. My mother of course. So I called her and told her the deal and what was going on. She listened to me, allowed me to finish the rambling story I was telling her and just told me: "Are you sure you want to buy a second hand computer?" and that was it. Those words made me realize that I might be getting a computer cheaper but it involved a lot more than just the price.

Welcome back!
I know some of you may be a little confused about what is going on here.
As many of you know, At the begining of the year I decided to move my blog from blogger to wordpress in order to link it to my .com domain www.stephaniearabella.com.
It was working great, all the content was perfectly arranged, easy to manipulate and to edit...until an actualization was supposed to occure. I have no idea what happened, and all of a sudden...it stoped working. Flat dead. With the help of my web development team and partners and friends, we tried everything to regain access and all of the content. We did not failed misserably, but we were trying for way too long, and I grew desperate and finally decided to get back into the blogger platform. So here we are once again. I rely much more in blogger because it has never ever failed me in a way that I could not solve the problem fast enough to keep my blog from running.
I will be making some adjustments now that my blogger blog is connected to my domain and some new and exciting things will be on the way!
I have seriously missed you guys more than anything and we are finally back together at home.
I hope you are having an amazing year and that everything you aimed at is finally coming together.
Kisses,
Stephanie.

Almost over and a Thank You
I know it has been way too long since my last post, but I have a pretty exciting announcement! I am officially done with my university life work, the last things that are coming up in line next are FINAL exams, which I am not that worried about but I can easily study and just focus on them.

This past weeks have been an emotional roller coaster but in a good way, both for my career life and my personal life in which the things and the people surrounding me have helped me to find myself in the way and maybe not letting some bad things get to me.

Today I can say that being a senior at University has been a lot of fun and challenging, even more challenging than at the beginning of the path to obtain a degree, but it is all worth the struggle and the sweat and the tears (specially the last bit of all). You have no idea how many times the thought of quitting has gone through my mind, but there always was something insignificant but great that would lift me up like a little ray of sunlight coming through my window in the darkest of days and a simple smile from the ones who love me and whom I love back.

Having supporting friends and family has always made my day a little easier whenever I felt like not wanting to do anything else but crawl back into my bed and never leave it again. I am so thankful for each and everyone who has crossed my path, even if it was just for a couple seconds at the street, or for the last 22-almost-23-years of my life. So thank you if you are just here for a flash and thank you for making a difference in my day to day.

To recap a little of my past weeks, lets just say that it has been amazing. New people, new projects, new aspirations and a whole lot more to life than just living it.

It may seem that this post has become a little cheese ball of feelings, but I hope you are still sticking around reading it. If so, thank you again ! (have you noticed I am a little grateful for everything?).

Lessons have been learned in just a short period of time. Friends have become closer to a point where family is their next status. Teachers becoming mentors. Relationships have come and gone but always will remain as a part of my story (way too much drama back then). Family. Bosses that are more like friends. Co-workers who understand you and teach you on the way being friends and family at the same time. Opportunities. Feeling loved and respected and feeling that you have left a mark on somebody's heart.

And to all the people portrayed and who made it into this cheese ball of cheesiness of pictures. Sorry I'm not sorry for putting you out there in the internet for you are the most important thing that has happened to me. These are just some of the pictures of the journey, and if you don't find yourself here, it's not because I don't love you (cause I do and more than you can imagine) but because there are waaaay to many cute pictures and my blog may crash from the cuteness.

Baby Lips #FAIL
A while ago I purchased a Maybelline's Baby Lips and said in a previous post that I would see how did it worked and if it was as miraculous as they preached it to be. They claimed that the product would soften the lips increasingly in a 4 weeks time if you used it consistently and religiously. I did this for the first...what...2 weeks, and noticed that my lips got softer at times but later on they got supper chapped and had to pile more of the product up in my lips for them to be soft again, and once the product was fading up, they become chapped again, this was starting to really annoy me exponentially and iIwas becoming moody and not about the topic. This crazy way of applying the product was, in my opinion, just a marketing strategy for people to keep on using it excessively so that they believed that the product was the one being miracolous, when in reality, it was making the lips more chapped and annoying.
My final say about the baby lips? They are not good at all and I won't be repurchasing the product. I really like the other Maybelline products like their mascaras, their nail polishes and their eyeliners, but this one didn't matched up with my expectations and I felt dissapointed when the chap-iness started to occur. Instead of getting softer lips, I ended up with super dry lips, a bad mood and a bad relationship with water (cause it was not helping with the dry-ness).
Baby Lips score: 2 out of 10.

Pampering time: Chanel products
I am all about wearing makeup. I don't use it myself everyday, but every once in a while, for special occasions, or just a random day of the week, is good for me. It gives that little boost of confidence you need and it just makes you act your part a little better when you need to be fully drawn into your daily to do's. But it may be tricky if you are not used to wearing it! It happened to me once. I was not fully aware that my face was all dolled up, I yawned and rubbed my eyes... yes, you might guess what happened next. I looked like a raccoon. Horrible, horrible thing, so that is why I am extra cautious and extra aware of my every move.
This post is about what I would love to have in my collection for that extra pump. Specially from Chanel. Lets hop into it.
1. Blush in JOUES CONTRASTE, shade 72 Rose Initiale

2. Lipstick, ROUGE COCO, shade 05 Mademoiselle

3. Eyebrows pencil, CRAYON SOURCILS, shade 30 Brun Naturel

4. Makeup Remover, DÉMAQUILLANT YEUX INTENSE

Those are the products I would love to pamper myself with at some point, and the price ranges are not that bad, I might start with the eye makeup remover. You can check these and more products here.
I hope you are enjoying your day, cause I am certainly doing so!

Painting...
...my nails. I haven't done that in a week! i can't believe it from me.

I've had a hectic week. Like for real, crazy hectic week. University, work and life have been beasts on me. But I have a little time to breath and to pain my nails. Which i am so happy about! I don't like my nails to be naked. It makes me a lot more self conscious. I have the habit of not letting my nails rest, but I figured, as I have zero time to spare lately, that I prefer to have naked nails instead of chipped nails.
But I finally painted them and I feel much better that way. It boosts my self esteem. I feel prettier, and (for a weird reason) healthier and happier.
I hope you are having an awesome Sunday.

easter bunny
Happy easter for those who celebrate it like me and for those who dont, I hope you are having a really nice Sunday.
Today, my family and I are having a really chill day. The mayority of the time we have spent in bed and eating our chocolate eggs that the Easter bunny left for us. That bunny is really spoiling us for good.
And again, another month is ending and with it another season approaches. Yet for colder months in the southern hemisphere. Cause this heat wave was just driving me crazy.
I'll just end the post here. I am going back to reading and eating some more chocolate. I hope I don't e d up I'm a sugar coma after this indulgement.
Have a very nice day you guys!

Moisturizing: smooth and nice
Moisturizing is super important for your skin, it is the food you give it in order to keep it nice, smooth and glow-y. After taking a shower or a bath, your skin loses some of the humidity it naturally has. Sometimes it depends on the environment that you find yourself at and dry weather makes it dryer if you have dry skin, or too oily of you are at a very humid place with oily skin.
I try to focus on moisturizing my elbows, my knees and that joint between the length of your leg and your feet. Those are my really problematic areas, specially suffering from a lower degree psoriasis on those areas. It's been a while since I had that and I always needed some good moisturizers and thick ones too.
The most generic one I can think of that has really worked is the Nivea Creme.

It's formulation is thick and leaves a residue for a long time. I like to apply it at night before I go to bed because that is when all the nutrients and compounds can get better into the skin to repair it more effectively.
For my face, I am faithful to Ponds, I haven't tried many of them but that one keeps my skin fresh and nice (breakout free also)
How do you like to moisturize your skin? Which are your problem areas? Leave it in the comments below :)

Top knots, messy buns
I feel that they are getting a little too over rated. But who am I kidding? I just love them, specially for summer time.
I have seen a lot of these being rocked in red carpets, in the streets, by celebs, commoners and even people that might go by like wallflowers (have you seen the movie or read the book? i have not but I want to read the book)
They can be classy, they can be toned down, they are super high and sometimes just not that much. They are versatile to whatever occasion you need to wear them. And now that Christmas parties are here you can wear them as differently as you wish.
Here are some of my favorite top knots and messy buns

Craving: Breakfast at Tiffany's
Today, I've tackled up 2 proyects! yey!
But now that it is the afternoon and I am a bit tired of everything (well...of the majority of things) I feel like relaxing for a bit, I love, love love love to watch some old movies, and by old I mean timeless. One of them is Breakfast at Tiffany's. I adore it, I can relax so much with it and have a nice time. And I've never realized that if you part Holly's last name, you get GO Lightly, you get it? hahaha I felt kindda silly not noticing it before!

This is a very short post, but I wanted to stop by and say HI! so HI!
enjoy your day!

Sunday Funday: Remember always
Today is not a good day for me, it's been a couple of rough weeks and I feel like today everything just got out of hand and just want to cuddle in bed, watch all the sad movies ever made, not only in Hollywood but in any part of the world. But I will not do that.
Sometimes you just feel like everything is falling into small pieces, feel like there is no way out of the black hole that your life is slowly turning into, but you should never ever give it a sign that it is affecting you. For this, you need to take a day off, shake off everything that bothers you, go for a walk, a run, a strut, jam up the happiest music ever out loud in your room or your car, how ever you feel like doing it.
Remember always that you have people that truly love you, unconditionally, even if they are near or far from you at the moment. IF you are having a bad day just remember those small moments of joy and go to a happy place for just a couple minutes to make it up and compensate the bad mood.
The point of this post is for you (and me) to leave some things that can damage us a little far behind and remembering the things that are truly important for us and move us to do what we are doing at the moment.
with Love,
S.A

Busy as a bee
So, it's Saturday, most of you are probably resting and getting some more sleep than normal. You are seriously making me so jealous. I have 2 tasks for today.
The first one is to go to a recovery class of Business Law. I know fun, but it is just compulsory for me to go because the professor is going to be saying which are the topics that come in the midterm. Yes.
The second one, is to do a presentation about the different ways to measure the external vulnerability of an economy for my Global Economics class. We have also 4 hours of recovery. We missed them and now we are paying the bills. That class is 4 hours...I don't know what I'm going to do with my existence all that time.
I am a busy busy bee today.
Hope you enjoy your day and have fun!
