Christmas Baking: Tanya Burr's Shortbread cookie recipe

As I mentioned a couple of blog post before, in my house my mom and I are baking monsters, therefore every time we come by a recipe that seems good we are going to try and test it out. 

This year, I went a little crazy and watched every Vlogmas out there in youtube, from the people I follow and I loved each and every one of them. One of  my favorites vlogmas had to be Tanya Burrs'. She has a really home-y vibe to her and I can relate a lot with her because she seems a little geek at heart and is a complete wife-y person (not trying to sound old school here, i mean it as a good thing for sure) and that is how I am and see myself as. She did one where she baked shortbread star cookies and it seemed really simple so I decided to give it a try.

Christmas Party

On Friday, we had the annual End of Year Party of the Organization I work for and this year, we celebrated not only the end of the year, but also how we broke a Guinness World record. It was not an amazing one but we can certainly say we did it in style. We gained the recognition for "The Largest bowl of Quinoa" in the world, and it was something to talk about.

On the other hand, we had the opportunity to all be gathered together and have a good time with good food, good friends and amazing music.

I had a total pampering day before the party, which was an amazing way to start the night.

Christmas Baking: Gingerbread Cookies

Every year, my mom and I go all out with our baking game. 

We are enthusiasts with our german fruit cake, cupcakes and our gingerbread cookies.

On Thursday we had a little gathering at the office to make our secret santa gift exchange and it was an amazing time. 

Black Friday 2015 Purchase + Cyber Monday

I know black Friday was a couple of weeks ago, but I couldn't pass the opportunity to tell you all about the things I bought during that day and the weekend untill Cyber Monday (It wasn't a lot, but significant). 

The first thing I did on Black Friday, was, get online and see if there was any good deal. Target.com was my choice to go on a hunt for something and browsing in the online store I found a Nikon Camera which was only US$ 100. Of course I had to get it. And I did. It is a Nikon Coolpix L340 with 20.2 megapixels. I decided to go for it because, 1) I needed a new point and shoot camera and 2) I am no pro to get a super fancy DSLR camera just yet because I have cero skills with the photographing thing. After it, I have a whole new random experience with my shipping which I will let you know all about it in another post, so stay tuned for that.

I had been devating starting different projects, different ideas and different ways of doing business without investing much money to have an extra income besides my day job. 

Update + feeling festive

Hello to everyone, adults, kids, the elderly and who ever is reading ts now! I really appreciate how everyone have been patient for the lack of posting! i can't believe it's been so long since I wrote. I have noticed that the gaps between each post is starting to be ridiculous and I feel ashamed.

This semester is my next-to-last and it has gotten out of hand! it is super tough! and a couple of classes are beating me up! one is numbers and the other is strategic planing. Plus work, it all seems to have gotten an effect on me.

On the bright side, it is already November, there are just a few weeks left for the year to end...and that is where my festive spirit is coming from. If you follow me on twitter, you will already know that I am almost done with my Christmas shopping which is super important for me, cause I have been, in the previous years, running around like a headless chick, to get it all together! but this year is so much different than the other and I am just feeling it and I am on a roll! There are just a few little things that I need, but those are just minor things.

I feel I have grown so much this past couple of months in terms of responsibilities, that I need just a little breather moment and being all festive helps very much on that matter.

Top knots, messy buns

I feel that they are getting a little too over rated. But who am  I kidding? I just love them, specially for summer time.

I have seen a lot of these being rocked in red carpets, in the streets, by celebs, commoners and even people that might go by like wallflowers (have you seen the movie or read the book? i have not but I want to read the book) 

They can be classy, they can be toned down, they are super high and sometimes just not that much. They are versatile to whatever occasion you need to wear them. And now that Christmas parties are here you can wear them as differently as you wish.

Christmas Wishlist

only a couple of weeks till Christmas time and I haven't gotten my stuff ready! at home we are in such a dilemma because some of our ornaments are missing but we had done some box moving a while ago and maybe they have been misplaced and we need to look a little further for them.

Sunday Funday: Why So M.I.A?

Happy December guys! 

it's crazy how fast time has passed and how the end of the year has come with a blink of an eye. It seemed just yesterday that we were in January enjoying the new years eve post comatose states. 

I just wanted to stop by for a little while to say that everything is going great and that my finals start on tuesday! and I finish them on friday and I will be a free person for a good couple of months! 

To keep up with the update I have been planing also my december baking schedule because we gift cupcakes to pretty much all of my family hahaha! when I have pictures of them I will let you know here so you can see what we ended up doing!

Tuesday the 13th.

For some people this date might mean bad luck...for me...it's just a date, but for some reason, bad luck seems to be a possibility! I have a really big test, I have to read way too much, but decided to write this post instead hahahaha <3

Christmas treats

Hey Guys!

I wanted to know which Christmas treat is your favourite and which is a tradition for your family to bake, or cook for the time? 

My favourite Christmas treats are gingerbread cookies, i love them and I am pretty good at baking them, normally i am the one who bakes them every year at home and we love love love them and their taste and how they are spicy and super sweet. 

This is going to be all about sweets btw, because we love sweets and which time of year is the best to get a hang on them than Christmas? I don't know either hahaha. 

The next treat that I love, is a German cake recipe that my mom does every year with all kinds of dried fruits and is a really heavy and moisture-y cake and iced with Italian meringue and it just runs so nicely and is so good, If I find a picture I'll put it down here. 

Yey I found this picture of the so delicious cake :) and yes, we baked it and decorated it and was so perfectly amazing. 

Those are basically the two treats that I adore for this season. This year I'll be trying to bake some gingerbread cupcakes and I hope they turn out good and if they do, I'll post a picture here so that you can see how they turned out.

Louis Vuitton Luggage

I see everywhere celebs rocking their LV luggage and they look so fab with them. This makes me want to get a hold of at least one piece of their branch and travel with style like they do. My favourite pieces are the following, sort of a Christmas wishlist for this time of year <3 

I will always love the monogram canvas line because it is the staple for all LV products and just give the brand their identity and their luggage line only comes in it, which is amazing for me. This is high-end fashion for your trips. (one day Stephanie, one day <3) 

For the business trips that one day I'll be doing (hopefully) i think a nice piece to have is the Garment Carrier-5 hangers and is super easy to carry around. 

The next item is this beautiful Alzer 70, which looks like those travel trunks from the past of the early to mid 20's and are just too stylish and a signature of the glam world. 

and last but not least, is this super cute toiletry case to keep all the make-up and the necessities for your traveling experience and doing so in fashion and glamour.

Update, Update it's time for an Update

Hey you guys! 


It's been a while! i know i've been so MIA but because of good reasons, university and life (the little part I had left) and no sleep involved, so not beauty related me and dorky much but, I do study and i do get good grades. This time of year is so stressful as I move on with my career studies. 


But now that the semester is over, and i achieved great scores in each of my classes I FINALLY HAVE THE TIME TO WRITE MORE! WUJU!

A lot of time I may say and i am ready to get back on track with both my beloved blogs and write and write and never give up <3

Christmas excitement!

Hey Everyone! 


So I am finally done with the semester, my finals went, the majority of them, great! i am closing with really good grades and I am proud of it :) all the hard work is paying off. My cousin has just ended her career and i feel sooo proud of her also! she's graduating from the same university i'm in and now i see that all the hard and long hours of not sleeping do pay off <3


And now, what I've been waiting for this whole time! Christmas time! shopping for the presents, cooking and trying not to gain those extra pounds from the food, specially because bikini season is starting for the southern hemisphere and I am, unlucky me, there. 

I love the fact that now I am going to have more time to write my blog more often and get in touch with you all more.

So December is here...

Hey Everyone! 

I can't belief the year is almost over! It's hollyday season and final exams for me begin this Saturday!  I've been crazy busy this past month and i am SO eager to stop running like a headless chicken all over the place :) I want to focus on the hollydays and begin decorating my house...yes I know, i still haven't done it and that makes me feel sad. I love the Christmas spirit, it makes me feel much much more happy and alive. 

As a tradition, in my family we tend to focus on the dinner table for Christmas and we prepare some jummy recipes and just thinking about them make my mouth water. I really wish i had healthier versions of them but, it's just that time of year in which you can indulge a bit with all the flavour and the jumminess of the season. 

As soon as I finish my final exams, I am TOTALLY going back at writing regular posts in here, i feel i have a lot of things to say and so not enough time. 

Hope you are enjoying the spirit of this season and making the best out of every moment!
