Beauty | Givenchy Skin Care

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to participate in a beauty breakfast organized by Ripley (a huge department store in Latin-America) and it was the best experience ever.

Fitness | Haul

I went on a shopping spree a couple of weeks ago to a mall which is relatively far from where I live. When I say relatively, it means 1 hour away. Not at all close.

Micellar Water: Lóreal Paris

A few weeks ago, my skin was getting super dry and I was breaking out like crazy and then, Micellar water came into my mind. I have heard a lot from people all over the internet and from some people around me that use micellar, and have told me the wonders that it is and what it did for them, so I decided to give it a try.

Getting in a routine

It's been a while, like a whole year, since i've done any proper workouts. This time i have a goal, i want to look my best and try to make it worth it.

So that is why, yesterday while watching  a friend and my date play soccer (football for you brits), i decided to go to the gym and pay up my month so that i have no more excuses to go and sweat my kg away and to shape up my body.

And with this, shoping is a great excuse! Workout clothes? Yes please!

I want it to be my routine, the one thing i cannot live without and want to be there in the gym in mu free time. Maybe in the mornings, or at night, any time i have to squeeze it in.

So this is where i am going to make my commitment and work hard and be good with it.

So i hope everything goes well! Wish me luck!

Until the next time!

Current Status: Stressed

For so long, and after being 2 months or so apart from the blogging world, I finally sat down, and decided to start writing even though I had no plan on doing so and therefore my rambles will be here on and on and on again.

My mood: Meeh
My hopes: underground
My dreams: semi-starstruck
My goals: on hands reach
My spirits: not so good
My motivation: needs improvement

I have this strange urge to sit down and write my heart out in poems and in little verses and phrases. Maybe it is this mix of feelings overflowing my mind, that maybe my heart can handle but my brain is not prepared to. On Sunday I had a major break down, life is just not loving me right now, in every single aspect it tries to screw me over. I need some chill time. I will try to relax (but i think that there are waaay too many things on my plate right now that my mind is just not wanting to respond as it should).

Ramblings and rants stop here.

Almost fine now that I poured my frustrations here, things can get a little more cheerful, but not now, maybe from the next post onward.

Have a good day, I'll try to have one too.

What a week!

I've had a really hard week, it was one of those where everything you do goes wrong and just when you thought nothing could go worse than that, it does. I was desperate! I had build up too much stress that I felt my head was going to explode and all of my body was feeling horribly heavy. I ate due to anxiety (probably way too much that I gained a pound...)

In conclusion, it was horrible! and yes, Monday started and seemed to be a good week, but by Wednesday it was just unbearable. I tried my best not to break down, but that night I couldn't handle it any more.

Exercise! yes, that was the solution. The answer I've been looking for all along those horrid days. I have been on a bad relationship with working out lately. I haven't moved a muscle (literally) in almost a month and a half and it could be longer than that (at least it feels that way).

Doing cycling has always made me feel better and it has an extraordinary effect on my nerves. In that way, I started riding my stationary one. In just 30 mins, it does the charm.I felt relieved and happy. It was all I needed. And I feel more inspired than ever!! I want to keep it up and switch up my routine.

The reason why I stopped exercising was that I had no time, and I love to so, but finding the space is not so easy, 30 mins in the stationary is good. But having under 30 mins workouts would be so much better. BEACHBODY has developed one that is 25 mins long which give you the same results as an hour long workout with just focusing more on the intensity, putting in practice the saying "quality over quantity". I am seriously eyeing it, it seems like so much fun and it might help me relax! which I need more now that I study and work. It is called the FOCUS T25. The launch date is yet to be announced , but you can subscribe to their e-mail list and be one of the first people to know it and get it. I have already joined it so that I can be alert to purchase it.  It is going to be great for busy people.
Dumbbell Set (3 lbs., 5 lbs., 8 lbs.)
Another thing that is going to go great with it is their foam roller, to loosen up muscles after a extraneous exercise so that you are not as soar as you would be later. I like stretching also to loosen up those muscles! I don't want to walk later like a granny (which I feel I am most of the time). How could I forget? to tone those flappy arms (my case totally!) I might purchase their Dumbbell weight set which includes the 3 lbs., 5 lbs., 8 lbs. weights. pretty cool.

Yoga Monster MatI've been on the search for good quality yoga mat for a while, I haven't cross one that has enough padding to help with knee or ankle pain when doing yoga (i did it once and couldn't handle it) or even elbows and back pains due to the hard wood floor here at home. BEACHBODY got it! it is called the yoga monster mat. yes, monster. It is definitely one of the products that I might be getting in the near future :)

If you didn't notice, I am really motivated and excited about working out. I need to keep it that way, that is why i need to switch it up a little sometimes!

Are you trying to workout more? if you already do, how do you stay motivated?

Disclaimer: BEACHBODY contacted me to talk about their new program and the new products they carry. I have worked with them before. I am not receiving any economic compensation or any other type or form of it. All opinions are my own. I have permission to use their photos in this post in order to show the previously mentioned goods.

Back to school: Snack Options

Hey Everyone!

While I've been doing a ton of reading for classes just in 3 days back at Uni, I've figured out that snacking is constantly in my mind more than eating actual full meals. I am not skipping on them, it's just that I have more pick-me-ups through the day.

What I'll do is eat breakfast early in the morning, keep with my routine (reading, writing, blogging, etc) and I'll get a little anxious, or just plain bored that I have to keep me busy with something else while doing it all, I'll grab 20 almonds, and eat them slowly so that I don't run out of them too fast, and drink some water or tea or coffee. Coffee is what the majority of university students indulge in most of the time. One can never have too many cups of it.

After Lunch, sometimes I have class and I am busy paying attention to the professors and the subject that all I can manage, in a break, is grab an apple, or any other fruit that can be eaten with out making a mess out of it. And that is pretty much it, oh and the coffee to keep me awake.

So snacking is your best friend students! keep that in mind.

Another idea is to get some proteins going, take a piece of grilled chicken breast and eat it in between meals. The protein will give you more energy to keep going.

Also, having a snack in between foods will make you less hungry for the actual meal making you eat a little less than you would normally eat. This is a great tip for those who want to stay fitter and leaner and maintain a good weight range.

I hope you guys liked this post from my little snacking life and that it is helpful in your everyday activities.
