Sunday Funday: Smiles

Happy Sunday Everyone! I hope you are having a nice time.

Since the week has been a lot stressful for me with all the university stuff going on, and about to get worse, that my sleep is just not in the right process and my eyes look like the ones of a panda, I just wanted to share some of my guilty pleasures (well I don't think of them that much as guilty pleasures) that just make me smile and step out for a while of the Uni-zone.

The first one is reading blogs. Being a blogger myself, and with limited time (as you can see by my lack of posting, Sorry Guys!) I love to make some small pause to read the ones I'm subscribed to. That makes me feel a little more comfortable and, if I'm having a momentarily block, it refreshes me to keep going and see things from a different perspective.

The second one is watching YouTube. I have a few favorite people that I follow and just make my day. It's an instant smile that appears on my face every time that I see they have a new video uploaded.

A third one, is more family oriented. If I'm having a little block I just go around my house talking to every family member and having them to comment how they would approach the problem and also just talking with them. My mom and my grandma are always home so they are the ones that help me most of the time.

And last but not least, is to dedicate some time to my little pup so that I can groom her and play a little with her.

Instant Smiles. That is what makes my day if it has been a little rough. It is never a waste of time if it makes you smile.

I hope you continue having an awesome day <3

Beauty Vlogger Bootcamp: And now what?

Hey everyone!

I know I haven't done any posts in the last few weeks commenting about the show and the finalists. I will not bore you with excuses because I have non really, I just got distracted by other topics. So now, I will give you my comments on the season's finally and the couple last episodes which were Rachel's  and Giselle's final challenges and vlogs for the viewers in order to get to know them better in their more relaxed and not crazed selves.

The volg that Rachel prepared for the challenge was about how to style an outfit for different moments of the day, a relaxed morning, an afternoon with friends having lunch or at a night's date or a girl's night out down town. It was super didactic and super useful. It really showed how she rolls and made her personality shine through the entire video.

On the other hand we had Giselle's vlog which was about going from plain, yes plain, to polished. She gave a lot of good advise and tips and tricks to spice up your face and your looks if you are running wild through the day and have little time to prep for the different events of the day. She has a really good know-how on her topics and shows it.

Both contestants did a great job on their final vlogs and just knocked some people off their feet. In the end, Rachel won but was just a 100 or so votes ahead Giselle. This shows how good both vlogs were and had a very tight margin of competition.

author avatarRachel will have her own show on uLookHaute called "Ready, Set, Rachel", which will start airing August 8 and will be up every Wednesday.

And as for Beauty Vlogger Bootcamp? Well, they will have a second season! I am excited to see what new challenges are they going to put new contestants through and how are they going to respond. Casting has already started and you can find all the details here if you are in the USA and want to submit your video to them :)

Check the winning vlog here!

Sorry for this very long and wordy post, I just felt like writing today! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and I'll talk to you later!

Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp: Week 8

Hey everyone!

It's that of the week in which I start to ramble about BVBC! yes, I am loving it and I'm not ashamed about it. The challenge for last week and this week was to create a day time look and night time look from pieces found in a drift store. The catch, they could not go over 100 dolars. Bargaining power is the KEY.

I loved the outfits two of the contestants pulled out. I have been watching the show for the last eight weeks and still don't remember the names. I am THAT bad with them. I loved the challenge and saw how their personalities came out with them. I think styling is a natural talent and it could also be developed if studied profoundly and with dedication.

Honestly, the contestants have been doing great jobs through the time of the show. As it comes to an end, the competition gets tougher and the elimination process just becomes more and more difficult. The 3 girls left, just created a strong bond, and now having to bite their heads off to win makes it HARDER for the competition. I just hope the best wins, and no drama arise from it.

Here I leave you with this weeks episode!

Hope you like!

Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp: Week 7

Hey everyone!

Another BVBC is here, but we could only see half of the challenge. Buying and styling on a budget is difficult enough to do it under time pressure. Right I sometimes take 2 hours to pick up the perfect clothes for the perfect outfit.

I loved this week's challenge, and as the competition comes to an end, the challenges are being more stressful and a lot more relevant.

Here is this weeks episode if you missed it!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have a great weekend!

Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp: Week 6

Hey Everyone!

It's been a couple of hard days for me with the studying and everything for the midterms, but I finally gave in and decided that some time to write to you guys is always worth a little rest for me. This weeks episode was about the beauty and the vlogging.

It was about time that they had a challenge mixing both ingredients. I loved it. It really showed how the contestants behave in front of the camera and how they portray and stay truthful about their personalities. I really liked that little twist they had for the challenge making someone get only two minutes to do the make up tutorial while the others got complete 5 minutes to complete the challenge.

I thought this week, as the episode was released yesterday, that I will not spoil it and let you guys enjoy every single aspect of it.

I leave you with this brand new episode of BVBC hope you enjoy!

Have a nice day loves!

Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp: Boy Crazy

Hey everyone!

It's time for another of the infamous posts about BVBC!! Every Tuesday I get hooked on the internet and specially YouTube to see the premier of new episodes of this series. I love them, specially how some people just watch the episodes and give so much hate about them when I know some of those haters, as some call them, just love it so much but are plain out of this universe with jealousy about two regular girls makinbg a career out of their passion.

This week's challenge was all about the boys. They had to paint/makeup around with boy blank canvas. I think people thought this was just crazy, I did too, but thinking about it, it was not so crazy in the end. It had to be this way so they can judge over the creativity of the contestants, after all you need to have a lot of it to create some tutorials and picture some of the craziest requests.

I loved how Shanice had the vision to recreate something Vogue-ish and stood out from the other participants. It was my favourite look and just thought that she has what it takes to become a really good beauty and fashion guru.

Here is the video! I hope you enjoy! <3

Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp: Stranded on a deserted island?!

Hey everyone!

This week premièred the new episode of BVBC and this week's challenge was all about showing their vlogging skills, which need to go in hand with the ability to gain more views and make the vlog more fresh and light but always with professionalism.

The theme was, the 3 things that you would bring to a deserted Island. I will do my part on this challenge. I will list the 3 things that I would bring to a deserted island.

The number one thing I would bring is my flipflops, I don't want to get all hot and sweaty with maybe the shoes I was with when dropped there. The next thing I think could be a bow+arrow combo (very hunger-games style) to hunt down my food and maybe protect myself from something sneaky and dangerous in the island. The last but not least thing, could be a bikini cover up, because I wouldn't like to get all sunburn with my bikini that i brought already under my normal clothes, I dont think anyone would go naked to the deserted island..it just don't make sense to me. Yes, this is all that I would bring. What 3 things would you bring to a deserted island? leave it in the comments below :)

Here I leave you the new episode of Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp! ENJOY!

Have a nice day!

Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp: Week 3

Hey everyone!

On Tuesday the 17th aired a new episode of Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp. You may be wondering what took me so long to write a post about it, and here is the reason, i've been sick for the past days, i had horrible headaches and had to get some university work done. My life was such a joy! haha (sarcasm)

Well, I really liked the challenge they had on for the week, Closet organization. I am a huge closet freak, sometimes I like to reorganize it and I spend less than 4 hours taking every single piece of clothing and shoes I have in it. I have two closets and a dresser which are overflown with clothes and I just enjoy so much to clean it and put it together that it is just no work at all for me. It drains me, yes, but right after I just sit on my bed and just feel that I can breath a lot better now that it is all super neat.

They had to memorize the display of the closet in a picture and just recreate it. I think some of the contestants just where so overwhelmed by the time pressure that they just forgot everything they saw in the picture and some others just went in and did a really nice job. There is not much to say about everything else. I just thought to my self that I would've done such a great job at it that I was eager to see who did it best.

Elle and Blair were super patient in this challenge, and I even think they wanted to help some of the contestants so that they did a better job and just don't mess the clothes more than they where. I loved this challenge and made me wonder what else could come along with the next ones.

I hope you guys watch the new episode, and as always I will link it below for you to watch it!

Have a great weekend!

Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp: The Elimination+Ep2

Hey Everyone!

On Tuesday, the second episode of Beauty Vlogger Boot camp aired and I was so excited to see what is next on this show. The elimination process of the previous episode consisted on the challenge of doing a full face with out a mirror in 3 or less minutes. The eliminated: Roxanne. I think their decision was a little too harsh, but at the end of the day, she did look less professional than the rest and didn't feel confident at all while performing in the challenge.

The next challenge, was to create a stylish piece of clothing, with just a plain white T-shirt and just few tools and a couple of accessories. OH and it featured GREGORY GORGEOUS. I totally think this was a great idea for a challenge, because in that way you can get to know the contestants style and how they work under pressure to be the best as they can get.

I loved the T-shirt from Shanice, it really added something edgy to the style and definitely knew what she wanted to do. She was determined and really pulled it off to create a great, non-traditional T-shirt.

This episode was not filled with as much drama as the last episode was, I think they toned it down because of the amount of critiques the show received, but it is a contest show people! it has to be dramatic and has to be harsh, I stand with my position on being judgemental if you really want other to show their real potential.

I hope this week is of your likelihood! Go watch it now! :) (link below)

Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp: The Beginning

Hey Everyone!

Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp is a new reality airing via YouTube in the channel of ulookhaute. It is hosted by Elle and Blair Fowler and is one of those shows in which people tell other people how to become what they are aspiring to do.

Today   is the first episode and they had a really interesting Challenge, Do your Makeup with no mirror! you heard right, NO mirror AND it had to be done in 3 minutes or less. This sounds crazy but when you are in a reality tough things should be done to show skill and how professional you can be. The contestants are a very varied group of people, I was not expecting that they would allow guys in the competition and was a bit awkward, in my opinion, asking them to do their makeup... but everything in fashion and beauty is acceptable if you truly love it despite your gender or political views right? Don't take me wrong but I was expecting it to be just for girls that wanted to be immersed in the vlogging duty to show their skills and share their tips and tricks.

Lets talk about the hosts and judges of the competition. They were the ones who gave the challenges and they are the ones in charge in judging how the contestants/participants did in each challenge from now on, they are the ones who make the decision on which participant didn't do as well as the other and that person has to go home. It's not an easy job to go around telling people that they are not good enough and I felt like Elle and Blair were having such a rough time at it. While judging you have to be completely honest and tell what you are seeing. Truth hurts right? I think people should not get into a competition if they can't handle this painful reality. But these girls I feel did a great job and looked just FAB while doing so.

On to the prices, which is the most exiting part of it all, A collection of clothes and accessories sponsored by JustFab, Makeup from Dermstore, their own series on ULookHaute and a cash price (which they don't say the amount of it). They are all really great prices and makes sense for a beauty vlogger to get those prices.

Over all, I think the reality is going to be filled with great moments and a lot of drama, which is a special ingredient for every reality/competition program.

Have a great day and don't miss the Premier of the Reality Competition, Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp! (click on the image to go to the video)
