Very Berries

I have been on a healthier note lately.

One of my obsessions?

Strawberries, cranberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries!

Mixed Berries


They are a really good source of antioxidants and vitamins. They give you a boost of energy and are really rich in flavor.

I love combining them with a little yogurt and some granola, which is amazing for breakfast or as a little mid-afternoon snack.

There is also a huge variety of desserts that can be made from the berries of your choice. For example, yesterday I found a great recipe from Martha Stewat's site of Blueberry cupcakes, which looks delicious. I really have to try it out and when I do, I will certainly do a review of it.

My go-to snacking yogurt

It is one of those crazy days where I have to meet with study groups, do some readings, run some errands, go to class, write some essays and the list goes on. That means, my eating schedule becomes horrible, and I do not want to starve to death while I find a little time to eat my proper meals. 

Yogurt comes in handy then. I like yogurt very much and when I found this awesome brand I just fell deeply in love for it's great taste and fruity-ness. It is from the brand Axelrod and it is a low fat one, it comes in different flavors, Black Cherry, Blueberry, Raspberry, Strawberry and more. But my absolute go to flavors are Black Cherry and Raspberry. 


I tried the Blueberry one and was just not doing it for me. Luckily I remembered to take a picture of the container, because when I eat the rest I just go out of mind with taking any pictures of them to show you. 

They are great products, if you haven't try them yet, go get them! they are pretty awesome :)

Healthy Spotlight: Blueberries

Hey there my loves!  




Recently I've found that blueberries are a great fruit to munch on and as a great complement for cereal and oats. I know many of you might already like this combo, but i actually never got interested in it specially because the looks of it was not nice for me at all. 


Later I decided to try it and see why many people liked it. And I got hooked. But it is just not the taste that fascinates me, it's also the amount of health benefits it provides. 


Here are 3 main characteristics of blueberries and why you should incorporate them in your diet. 


1.- They are great anti-oxidants. They help slow down the process of ageing of your body and provide you with extra energy. 


2.- They help to keep in pin point your memory making it sharper and better. 


3.- They contain a great amount of vitamins and minerals which increase the nutritional value of any of the food you pair them with. 


Remember, good food pairing is they key point to make your body happy and your energy at a good level.
