Week in review (March 11-17 2013)

I had a great weeks you guys!

I met with a lot of awesome people, help my bestie score dates with the guy she likes, had a BBQ with some of my friends from school, ate macaroons, had lunch and started classes at Uni.

It is all a big circle, you meet and greet and wait and meet again and I am loving that there is still great people in my life to share it with.

On Monday and Tuesday the routine was on going to work and then home. On Wednesday the journey began going to work, meeting with the bestie for lunch and help her decide her outfit for her date later that night and then home to change and go to class. I am seriously trying to figure out what is going to look like when my school work and actual work get to the crazy point. If you know what I mean.

The week went by smoothly. On Friday I had the evening free and that is when some friends and I met up to prepare a good old BBQ to get reunited and have a little fun catching up and  eating. It all gets better with some food in the way (and alcohol too).

loving our faces!

Catching up with the friends is always a good way to relax. The next day I had a a nice evening with the family for my uncle's birthday.
hii! there's me on the left!
And today I had to go vote, wait in line for 40 minutes and then mark the sheet in 30 seconds. The longest wait ever.

But all in all, it was a great week. I have had a really good time.

Sunday (not so) Funday: Study Sessions

Hello there! I hope you all are enjoying this nice Sunday and use it as a way to relax from all the week's stress that, inevitably, shows.

For me, today it's not a day to relax. Today I have lots to study and read. I will have to say bye to a BBQ day with my family and, well, it's not fun at all.

At least, by night I expect to be done with everything and then just dedicate some moments for me and have a little stress-free time till Monday comes with my tests!

Sunday Funday: BBQ Pizza

Hey Everyone!

It's been a couple of super hard and sad days in my house. But I think it's time to keep going even though it's as difficult as hell and I know my pretty baby is in a better place and she is watching us and playing happily with her doggy toys and running in a vast and immense green field.

So today, Sunday, we have been a little indulgent and for tonight we bought ingredients to make a very yummy BBQ Pizza we saw on TV.

Right now, I am watching the closing ceremony of the Olympic games which is AH-MAZING, no other words to describe it. What a nice relaxing Sunday.

Hope you have a great day and enjoy everything that comes showing for you!

BBQ lovers

Hey guys!

Yesterday we spent an awesome night with great friends and amazing food! it's that time of year were the semester just ended and you got a lot off of your chest and brain... and now you want to spend all the leisure time having fun and making the best out of every moment.

For summer days and pretty nice spring nights, we tend to like going out to dinner and sometimes our choices are not the best and we end up eating a huge plate of pasta and drinks filled with sugar. But i have a pretty nice option for you! and a healthy one too.

Instead of going out to eat, why not gather your friends at your house or apartment complex for a barbecue? it's fun, it's easy and it's so good and tasty! What i like the most of bbq's is that you don't fry stuff, the food is completely clean from the oils you use in your kitchen and while grilling them some of the fat contained in the meats just melt away and are not re-absorbed by the meat you are grilling.

Side the meats with a nice big salad and in that way you are eating balanced, if you like baked potatoes, go ahead and but them in the grill covered with tinfoil and they will be super nice and will have a smoked taste to them.

As for the meats, I recommend buying chicken, pork and even lean beef which has less fat then the normal steaks. Try to avoid hot-dogs and hamburgers, but one every now and then does not hurt anybody. the buns are not a must, because if you have potatoes... then don't mix carbs try having either one or another to avoid temptations.

BBQ's are great ideas to spend those summer evenings and nights with your family and friends staying healthy and having a balanced diet

I hope you guys are enjoying this month <3
